Speed Inc. Evil Transmissions?
Anyone have any experience with them? Mine went out again and instead of a pricey build I'm thinking of going with either the Street Evil or Pure Evil tranny. Any input or other tranmissions I should look at. I want to keep the A4 though.

I have an FLP stage 4 vacuum modulated. That thing shifts soo fast, actually it's the fastest shifting auto that I have ever owned since I started owning in the 80's.
CHUCK is the man too.
Either that or Rossler (from what I hear and read)

I'm the car 4mula is talking about.
I have the stage 3 Maximum Evil. Shifts nicer than the stock one ever did (even with a shift kit) but to be honest I haven't really gotten on it and probably won't until I put around five hundred miles on it (per Larry's recommendation). I haven't heard bad news about one and this one is rated at 800hp, although I seriously doubt it would handle that kind of power.
I only have put about 60 miles on the trans so far. Picked it up from Speed inc about a month ago, went out that same evening, came home, checked the fluid and parked it. Two weeks later, took the car for a 2 mile ride, rechecked fluid and parked it again. Haven't driven it since, we've had really lousy weather and I was originally going to wait and have the trans done in the spring but couldn't bear the thought of having a crippled car. Has a 6 month warranty which is pretty useless since by the time I actually start driving it the warranty will be just about up.
Hopefully others will chime in too. I paid 2K for it but mainly bought it from Speed because they've done just about all performance work on my car. I think the Street Evil is a great idea for someone that just needs a replacement trans and is close to stock.
