Default TC delima

This week my moser 12 bolt with 4.10 gears will be in. but in april i will be looking to install the T-rex cam... i will not be able to do 225 afr heads for a while... probably wont be till fall... my question is what torque converter do i need... i will be running full bolt ons and next season might run a 150 shot...
what converter will i need... If i get one to accomadate a LARGE cam, heads and NO2 when i only do my cam will performance suffer intil i do the heads and NO2? so basically im askin if a TC that is saposed to be used with a large cam, heads and NO2 will be ok to use with the large cam until the funds come in to do the other mods( heads and NO2).

sorry if it seems really complicated...

All opinions are welcome!

Thanks,

Tyler

I don't know if this is in the right section, but here goes, N/A you're gonna want something big, 4000+, probably in the 4200 range. On the juice, you're gonna want to be a little lower, maybe in the 3600-3800 range. Good luck

IMO, a torque converter should be the first mod on a automatic car.

i have teh same delima... 3600 isnt' going to be enuff for the trex cam though i woudln't think...

im looking at the 233/239 tsp cam which is lots smaller, and im thinking i can get by with a 3500 converter and 3.73 gear.. though ill be giving up time n/a by not running a 4000 and 4.10, and ill be giving up time n2o b/c n2o makes it tq down low ofcourse, seems there is no really right converter. for a n/a only, or n2o only car autos are the way to go, but if u wanna have it both ways like me, i wish id got a m6 now.
