Default Coverter Bolts?

Just a quick question here. Im going to be swapping out the stock converter and installing a vigilante 3600. Will the stock coverter bolts work to bolt up the vigilante stall?

Yes, they will be the proper thread pitch and length. Just make sure you use the OE bolts or new ones from GM cuz they are grade 8 or better.

My stock TC bolts were too long for my Vig3200. The Vig comes with new TC bolts that are much shorter than the stock bolts.

I got my Vig from my brother and he didn't send the bolts. I called PI to see how much they were and they sent me some free of charge.

DO NOT USE THE STOCK BOLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they are too long, they will fill like they get tight, but actually bottom out and make horrific noise when you start the car with them installed.

Use the shorter ones, you can pick them up at any auto parts store i believe, i know my local dealer had the shorter ones in stock when i needed them.

When I got a Vigi 3200 in my LT1 TA the shop that installed it said my stock bolts would not work. My converter shield ratled fater installed, any noise that comes from that area is horrible. Clean LT1 Z28 btw

Sorry for the bad info,i apologigize. My experience is with the Pro-Torque line of converters and their pads are thick allowing the use of stock fasteners. Especially with small diameter converters you have more room for longer threads. I thaught the vig. converters because of their high quality, would also use similar type pad designs.

Cool, they sent me mine a couple years ago. Glad they're still doing it.
