Default diff between nonlock up and lockup

well i found a sweet deal on a built 4l60e (artcarr parts, but built at aamco) and it has a 3000 nonlockup converter.... hes selling the whole thing for a grand (the tranny has less than 1000 miles, car was getting repoed, so he took some of the stuff out of it before it got repoed) he told me he has run mid low 11s on juice with this tranny and it has less than 1000 miles, he only had it for 2 months....

Well, i thought this was a lock up, but i made him find out, and he told me its actually a nonlockup.... now all i know about nonlockup are 2 things....

better ETs, maybe more mph (not sure) but ur mileage goes to crap.... (which mine already is lol)

this is my daily driver, and i drive this car everywhere.... what do you think I do? forget the tranny, or get the tranny with the nonlockup....

also doesnt nonlockup trannies show lower dyno numbers?

thx!

Make sure you get a lock-up converter, other wise it'll suck gas like none other. Plus it'll drive normal when it's in D so it's better on the highway because it doens't run such high rpms.

I would be carefull about artcar. I have heard some very bad stories about them from a guy that used to work there.
