Default Not a LS1...but I've got a 4l60e problem

My cousin has a '98 Grand Prix and the trans if f'd up. He had it rebuilt about 6 months ago for $1200. Now, when you put the car in reverse, you have to give it a ton of gas to get it moving. What's the problem?

that would be a 4T60 problem .Id say the rev clutches are on the outs, unless it also has a delay on low apply, then its the low/rev clutches. Or if it drags in 4th it could be the forward sprag. It has to come back out, Hope he has a warr..

Okay thanks. I thought it was a 4l60, my bad

Nothing strange to speak of in 4th. Apparantly, upon 2-3 shift the car buckles.

He's got a warranty, but the guy who did the rebuild is giving him *****.

Thanks for the info, any more help would be much appreciated
