Default Flushing a tranny cooler?

I had a B&M tranny cooler on my old 89, and I have removed it. Is there a way to flush it before I put it on the T/A?

if it is a tube and fin style, just pump some fluid through it. You can do that with a plate type too although at room temp those coolers do not flow as much.

I think its the plate style, I will get some fluid and try to run it through. Thanks!

Someone told me to flush with brake cleaner, it cleaned out nice. I shot it in, then blow with air.
