Default Is this a converter issue?

When I'm at WOT say for example of a 60-120 run, as I reach 120 my transmission feels like it "lets go" and my engine will rev freely.
The trans is fine other than that...it doesn't slip at all.
Could this be due to the no name converter the shop used in the rebuild?

I had my transmission rebuilt about 5k miles ago..The shop which is a semi-reputable shop in town used a 2500rpm dayco stall..

if 120 is a shift point, it is probably not your converter.

Doesn't sound like a converter problem to me.
