Default TCI tranny controller

Just swapped from a M6 to A4. But I cannot get the software to hook up to the pcm. Anyone have any advice, hints? Thanks.

Can you confirm that the TCI is getting power? It's difficult without any sort of LEDs or indicators of any sort really. You can do it by probing the rear VSS with a volt meter.

Then, can you confirm the serial port on your notebook works? There is an RS-232 tester with LEDs on it to indicat comminucations available at Radio Shack. Of course it's DB-25 and the port and cable that you are using is DB-9, so adapters are required on both sides.

Thanks for the response. Turns out the unit itself was bad.
