Default Do I need a re-stall?

What kind of data do I need to determine if tightening up my converter will improve ET? I have searched and read the threads about shift extension and the discussions on HP and TQ being the same thing. Now I am thouroghly confused.

Tomorrow morning I am planning on logging what RPM it drops to at the shift. I have dyno graphs. What else do I need to determine if I need a re-stall?

I found today that I can footbrake to 4500. I have my shift points at 6000 right now and it drops to about 4800-4900 at the shift. I think this is too much for my combination. My peak torque is down around 3500 I think. I talked to Dave at Yank and he said that with the dyno sheets he can dial it in for me so I guess I will pull it out and send it in next week after the next dyno session.
