LS1's love a high stall converter???

Yes, they really do. The question is how high a stall though?
I know there are other factors to consider but if street/daily drivability weren't a real issue, what is the highest stall one could legitimately go on a light stock internals bolt on car with 3.23 - 3.73 gears? 4000, 4600?

yes 4000 or 4400 would be great. I'm not sure about the 4600 unless you got ALOT of gear to go with that though. I have a 3800 with my 2.73's and its not that bad at all. I need a tune though

Lane up in Arlington had a Yank 4400 and he was one of the fastest stock internals LS1's. He has swapped the 3.23's for 3.42's but that is not very much of a change.
I drove the car and it pulled like a **** for stock internals. Just driving around, you could tell, however, that it had a really loose stall.
