Default 4L60 Brake safety cable removal

I sold my 4L60 and complete conversion and I have one thing left to take out...the safety cable that runs from the shifter to the brake.

Any idea how I should attempt this?

Do I need to pull my steering column out??

This looks like a bitch to do....

Any help would be appreciated

Default

You should be able to just remove it from the side of the column with 2 screws.
It comes right off and it will be out of the way.
