Torque Converter Clutches
Saw some remarks by Dave@Yank about carbon
clutches being made to slip and I guess this may
be bad in some way. I have one and can say it
sure does. But I don't know much about the
actual good and bad points of the various material
systems. Like is wet organic really that bad and
why? What makes you want or not want a Kevlar
clutch or a nodular carbon or a carbon ceramic or
a blueberry waffle clutch? Is the clutch you would
pick for hard core strip abuse the same one you
would want for wear related longevity on a hopped
up daily driver?
