Default Truck converter in car transmission?= explosion?????

I know some guys who put a tci 3100 out of a truck into a car and they claim the converter went boom. They claim its just that its a TCI product(b/c the guy they bought the converter from told them it would work and they believe every word he says). I just simply claim b/s on that. I also kinda its a possibility that the front pump might have shattered. The car had had the converter in for about 450 miles or so they say and had been sprayed once or twice also.

Could it be that there is a difference in the truck and car trannies that might have led to the converter dying or something giving away inside?

I'm just curious to what you guys have to say about it.

TIA

Josh S.
