who makes powerglides for a ls1
the next time my 4l60e goes out im going to be lookin at powerglides. pretty soon here i should be making enuff power to do so...
but what is the difference b/t a turbo 400 and a powerglide... how unstreetable are power glides then turbo 400's and what kinda power do u need to be making before u get one over a turbo 400 or even 350...
what is strongest, and since im not making insane power i thought i may be able to get a cheaper powerglide since i heard that there all damn strong.

Street and strip go the T400, strip only go the PG.
Ihate PG's on the street, you need real short rear gearing and big converters to make them any fun for street action, T400 you can get away with smaller converter and higher gearing.

A power glide is a tranny for a 2700 pound race car with a high stall. It would suck on the street. A th350 or th400 would work better for the street. I would add on a gear vendors od if you do a lot of street driving though.
