Default Transmission Help Please

Hello,

I just bought a really nice 93 Z28, it has 89,000 miles on it but runs and looks great. I was informed that the transmission was rebuilt less then 2,000 miles ago. And on the transmission warranty it says that the rebuild was for a 700R4 transmission, but I thought that 93+ cars came with 4L60e transmissions. The car shifts perfect and everything but I was wondering if there is anyway I can figure out which transmission the car has before buying a shift kit for it?

Also the car was stored all winter so it runs a bit hesitiant, I know it takes ahwhile to get everything back in shape after being stored for a couple months and was wondering if anyone know anything that can speed the process up?

Thanks

Your tranny is a 4L60. Just another word for 700R4. The "E" is for electronic which in our cars did not start to happen until 94. The Transgo kit for your tranny covers year models from 87-93.
