4200/vs4400
Yank offers a PT4200 and PT4400 stall converter in the same type of stall. Has anyone used both before and if so do you see much of a difference at all between the 2?
I have always used 3500-3800 stalls as I spray.
I have recentially taken the juice off the car and want to see how fast I can run all motor.
I would just order a 5000 stall but I drive the car often on the street and anything over 4400 has got to be annoying to drive around. They also had a 4600 but I think it might have been a non lock up, and a different series.

if you already have the 4200 just use it, but if money is not a problem and you dont mind loosing a little i would get the 4400. Also in the other thread you said you have 3.73 gears, do you plan to stick with those or go 4.10's?

Sticking with the 3.73's
I will be making around 480 on motor and in a few months will toss my Nitrous converter back in and spray a Large shot on top, but for now I wanna see what kind of times I can run NA.
I am trying to run some solid mid/high 10 second passes while having a car that is a daily driver.
My next question would be if I spent the extra money and went bigger, why stop at 4400?
Why not go 4600 or 4800?
Is there a point where it makes a difference in street driving ease?
I read through a lot of stuff trying to figure this out and saw that one guy back in the day had a T350 with a 4800 8" stall that his girlfriend was able to drive around.
Also I see Bain is moving to a 4800 stall.
Now the next question.
If lets say a 4400 stall is as big as anyone would go and still be streetable, what is the difference at the track (assuming you make peak power and torque high in the rpm band) between the 4200 and 4400?
Are we talking about 1 tenth or more?
It would seem like it should be around 1-2 tenth's but I have never played around in the "larger" class of converters so I dont know.
Thanks
