Air check clutch packs in 700R4?
When air testing the 3 clutch packs in the input housing should they be air tight or is some seepage acceptable? The 3 -4 pack holds 35lbs., but I can hear air leaking when I test the forward and overrun packs. I opened it back up and checked the seals and pistons and they look good.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Some air seepage is ok as long as it's coming form the seepage hole with the check ball, some fluid is allowed to leak by so the clutches release quickly. A good rule is if the clutch can hold with 15 to 20 psi of air the fluid pressure from your pump it will be plenty to hold it.
