what tranny for 94 z28?
hello guys
well im looking for profesional opinions as to what is the best daily driver solution on a 94 lt1 that will be pumping 550rwh. its begining to slip now so that this is the first thing i would lie to have done. also with this horsepower will i NEED? a stall convert? or can i have it idle at roughly what it does stock? the reason i ask all these things is i hear stories and opinions everywhere i go and now im to the point of confusion.so what is it i NEED and what is optional for this? i do not want to drive down the highway @ 4500 rpm i do not want the car stall extremely high. i want the od still and to keep the best gear for both street and highway. realistically i doubt ill ever be at the track so this is only a street machine. dazeand confused in the midwest please help...

i used to have a 95 z28 that was putting out 590. it was a blower car. i had my tranny done by mikes trans. in lancaster ca. he built my stock 4l60e witha 1000 800 hp guarantee and used a custom continental converter 3200 stall. i had 3:73s so at 70 mph i was about 2850rpm and on m/t et streets launchign at 3000 it hooked great.
