Default John @ Fuddle...

Love the 3800 2.4 so far. Been trying to tweak the lock up to avoid the shutter from such a low rpm/mph lock. Anyway...

Is this converter capable of handling a forced lockup at WOT, not on nitrous of course, but on motor? Would like to see the difference myself.

I am glad to hear that you are loving the converter so far.

Our Performance Converter is not designed to be locked at wide open throttle. We do offer a model in our High Performance/Race converter that has a big enough clutch to handle it, but with the standard Performance Converter, the clutch size simply isn't designed for locking at WOT. We are also nearing completion on a High Performance model that will handle lock up at WOT and come in at a price close to half-way-in-between the price of our performance converter and our HP/Race converter that will also be designed to handle WOT lock-up. And as always, if down the road you decide to move to a converter designed for it, our upgrade program is designed just for that.

I know this has no bearing on the thread, but I am impressed with your converter. I have a buddy with a 98 and your converter. Simply amazing is all I can say. Very imperssive. Almost makes me wish I had a A4.

It's the same special for LT1 converters. $400 and and entry in a drawing for a free converter. Still thinking about the 3000/2.0? Let me know.

Hey, you know the upgrade policy. Let me know if you want more info on the new HP/Street converter, which can be locked at WOT. Whenever you're ready.

Our new HP/Street converter can be locked open at WOT and can handle up to 900 hp. Building a converter with a stall/STR like that won't be a problem. Let me know what questions you have.
