Anyone ever have there Stall Converter out to be refreshed....? How much?

Anyone ever have there Stall Converter out to be refreshed....? How much? Have my trans out for repairs. My trans guy said I should get my veter flushed since there some metal and brass in the bottom of the trans pan. Just don't want to waste time and $$$ putting it all back in and then it is the converter coming apart. The stall is still fine. I have about 3000 miles on it altogether, with about 50 1/4 mile passes at the track. Countless ones on the street.
How much to get the converter inspected and refreshed? Mine is a TCI 3500. Each time I call TCI I get a different person with a different price.
Anyone had this done. It is worth it?

"Each time I call TCI I get a different person with a different price." I have heard this quite often, best to go with a name of (quality) brand of torque converter, such as Vigilante, Yank, Edge, Precision Industries, etc., to limit your TC problems.
