Default wierd trans problem, any suggestions?

I have a 2002 camaro z28 and the problem is that if i launch it in 1st at wot it will rev to about 1500-2000 rpm and then bog for a few moments, feels as if im being tossed foward when it does it, then it takes off full power again. does not do this in d or od, just if i launch in first, what the heck is going on, I had a transgo shift kit installed not to long ago, but why would that make it bog?, any help would be appreciated.

Torque management can cause this. Talk to Ed Wright at fastchip.com.

i got a crane cams programmer/vinci, i though this was supposed to get rid of torque management or at least most of it, and why does it happen only when i put it in first as opposed to d or od

why are you manually shifting? just let the trans do it for you.

i always do but was messing around to see if my trans would shift at higher rpm, cause now it shifts low in every gear, used to shift around 6300, now in d at wot it only shifts at 5700, thats when i noticed it, never did that before, i had swapped the gears from 3.23 to 3.73 but set if for 3.73 with my programmer, and it did not make it shift where it used to. when i put in stock program it shifts even lower , like at 5400. is it the shift kit?

i have the same problem with my car - shifting at low rpm. it wit shifts bertween 5k and 5200 at 1-2, and 5,700 in the 2-3 shift. i haven't gotten into the computer yet, only done the gears, shift kit, and lid. but it shifted like this when it was stock. the car hasn't been messed with. i manually shifted at the track and gained 2 mph and .25 on my et. consensus: my car sucks in D.

try cam#3 it brings the shift points and rpm limiter up along with some fuel and spark changes that you can modify via the power enrichment and spark advance if needed. also use the shift enhancement in performance mode.
