Default how to change shift points in...

i've got a 93 Z28 with the 4l60/700R4 trans(non-electriconic) and am currently in the proccess of puting in a shift kit. What do I need to do to change my shift points from the current 5000-5100 to 6200 RPM's?? I am assuming this can't be done through the ECU on my trans like with a 4l60E, since the transmission is not electronically controlled, does any one know the specifics of what to do to change WOT upshift points to a higher RPM? Is there a way to calculate the this out so that the trans. does shift at exactly 6200 RPMs???

Is there a mathematical way of calculating exact shift points, with certain weight and spring combinations?

i'm in the process of reading about the governor assembly.. where exactly in this govenor assembly located? does it require droping the trans. pan everytime you want to switch the spring and weight?

nevermind, I figured it out. really wish I had a 4l60E now, it would be so much simplier than a trial and error method.

Default 700R4 shift point change question?

I have a 93 z28 with the 700R4. My question is, when calibrating the shift points with different governors and spring (lighter ones) to increase the RPM the trans. shifts, does the shift point change with application? for example: if I dial it in at 6200 RPM N/A with my heads/cam setup, will the shift point change (higher or lower than 6200) when I spray the 150 shot? Does it ever change with different applications... I'm just trying to figure out setting shift points is a trial and error basis thing, cuz if it doesn't change with different applications, why isn't there a simple guide for what spring/governor weight will dial in a exact shift point for the trans.???

It's effected by rear tire size, gear ratio, vehicle weight, engine size, shift springs in the trans.
Something with a small engine and heavy vehicle weight might require more throttle (tv signal) therefore requiring heavier springs than a lighter vehicle with a more powerful engine.

WOT would sort of cancel out this to some degree because it's getting only a wot tv input and shifting off the shift valve springs and governor weights, so if your using nitrous it should shift at wot at the same rpm and mph as it would not using it.
