A high stall converter has the same lock-up as stock so on the highway your rpms are no different than stock.

greed no change in RPM's on the hi-way. The Only problem I have had with mine is I really need a tune b/c the converter locks and unlocks at lower speeds and the TQ managment is screwed up but I know Carolina Auto Masters is going to take care of that. I went with the 3400/2.1 converter. I would also consider looking into some good dr's at least or you WILL slow down on the 60' times. It looked like a Pro-stock car doing it's burnout on my street tires.

Along with those 3.73s, you're probably just spinning far too much and not accustomed to actually driving the car enough to get it to hook. Do some suspension mods or just get stickier tires and you SHOULD see a drop in times.

As for the main question, I have a Fuddle 3400 2.2. Sadly, I have not had the time to put it in just yet, seeing as I've been racing around trying to get things ready to move to college. Hopefully I can get it in within the next few weeks, although who's to say since I have no idea what college will have in store for me this year.

...i was saying that the fuddle converter is still in the box. sarcasm, evidently sentence structure isn't my strong suit. and i think putting nothing but stickies on that car after i install the 4k stall would probably give me enough wheelhop to merit replacing the rearend, too. i refuse to launch that car until i get sfcs at least. with the stock converter i get minimal wheelhop, i know coming out of the hole @ ~4k with sticky tires would NOT be healthy.

if u hook u dont have wheelhop.. a auto car should last longer then a stick shift anyways.. 10 bolts in autos do better then most ppl thin. the record is like a 10.1 1/4 which is a ver low 1/8th and ver low 60ft.. its all about hooking, wheelhop is the car trying too hook, spinning is the tires just getting blown away with no chance..

im prolly going with a 4000/2.4 for my n/a, n2o duties for now atleast may change or upgrade later

the best thing tho for the person who posted this thread is ther upgrade policy... 100% of th origional purchase is applied to any upgrades in the first year! amazing they can do that..

i also kno of a guy on here running a 6.50 1/8th with a fuddle converter and ofcourse lots of other mods, but clearly that is one case where they take some abuse and have held up well!

once i get school settled and get my bills paid back down a lil since books were so high ect im getting mine! and i cant wait!

the fuddle guy i pm'd was also very very very helpful and addressed my individual needs unlike other companys that just try to sell whatever they got in stock..

HP/Race 3800/2.3 stall here. I havent gotten into it too much on account of my crappy tires. The car's noisier around town and it has been turning cop's heads more often than usual

Fuddle 3000/2.0STR here. 1.71 60' and 112.4MPH in an unopened full weight '04 GTO. Great street/strip compromise IMO.

fuddle 3400/2.1. best time in sig. had more in it with the 3.23s but couldnt hook too well with crappy track prep and lack of seat time. dropped .5 second from converter. times with suspension and gears soon to come... love the converter, but i think i am gonna upgrade to something that is a little tighter want it to hit just a tad higher i think. john is a great guy to do business with and the warrantty is reason enough to purchase from him

I did the same thing for two moths. Got buzzed one night digging thrue some boxes in the garage and found the box with the TC in it. Then and there I started pulling the tranny off. Amazing what some alcohol will do.

In any event, mine is a 4k stall with a 2.4 str. Numbers in Sig.
I used my buddies ET streets this past saturday and no problem hooking. No wheel hop and still stock suspension axcept for some LCA's I put on. Felt like the front was going to come off the ground.. Felt awsome.

I launched at like 1K and hit a 1.7X and then tried to go around 2K (hard to watch RPM and the light) and pulled a 1.6X twice. I tried to go around 3K but ended up pulling a 1.9 because I just spun out. Maybe because a crappy burn out, dont know. Also, it was my buddies tires and did not want to take too much rubber off of them.

I am sure I could have gotten into the 1.5's with some more trial and error runs. Plus if I had my own tires I wouldnt give a crap about doing a John Force burnout either. Was fun and that was my experience. Overall, was impressed and the TC held up and performed great!
