Around town you'll lose an MPG or two, highway'll be the same (because it's locked up @ speed).

I went from a stock (1600-1800) to a 3200, and went from 2.73 gears to 3.42's and only have noticed about a 1MPG loss.

I have a 3400 stall and i average around 15-16mpg if i'm easy on it. I could possible be able to stretch it to 17mpg if i could completely stay off the gas the whole time.

I'll upgrade to a PT4000 in the near future.

Big difference in town. I get 11-12 mpg right now. Combination of 4k stall, big cam, lots of traffic, all city driving and a heavy foot on the loud pedal. Stock I would only get ~16 in town though.

I get ~22 on the highway.

I didn't notice any difference in town when I went from 2.73's to 3.42's. The TCI SF3000 costs me 1-2 mpg in town. 14-15 city, 23-24 hwy @80mph.

I lost about 1.5 mpg with my vig3200. I do a mix of highway and city. The city driving is what kills you.

Put it terms of miles per tank, I now get ~140. Stock I only got ~185 though. (remember, 98's have a slightly smaller tank than the newer cars)

living in a big city with traffic, the mpg went down alot.
once the converter locks up into overdrive, the car gets decent mpg.
i was getting about 300 miles to the tank on the highway doing about 80 miles per hour.

My gas milage dropped of course with the stall and the tc, but not enough to but the stock back it, The loss in mpg does not out weight the increase in performance.
