Default I'm retarded! trashed my th350

Well i finally got my car back together last night and when i got drive it the shifter feels weird. when i shift into third it feels like it stays in second. i get gas and head back to the house. i jack it up and notice i forgot to tighten the nut on the shifter arm.
so i tighten it up and the shifter now feels firm like it use to. BUT when i shift into third i hear a horrible screeching noise and the car stops.
I guess the tranny was stuck between second and third long enuff to hurt somethin.
I just got back from dropping the tranny off at my tranny guys shop. hopefully he'll give me call tomorrow with a not so big bill. Oh well more $$$ down the drain cause of a stupid mistake.

yeah first and second felt perfect. I don't know much about autos but since its a RMVB i think only third uses the band. i'm thinkin thats what got trashed.reverse also worked great.

Didn't you just get the motor back together after trashing it on a stupid mistake? Must be nice Mr. Moneybags. Either you beat the living **** out of that car or you just have really bad luck. Get that sucker fixed and running good. Looking for some track times from you man.

Yeah i just did replace my motor and now fixin the tranny. Motor was $1,000 and getting tranny kixed is $300. for a total of $1300. non too shabby. I guess i'll just have to sell some of my spare parts to get some of that $$$ back.
And "Mr Moneybags"? I wish. Credit cards can be a car nuts best friend.
