Yank SS4000 is in!!
Finally got the converter in. Since it's still VERY hot & humid down here in South FL it will be awhile before I get any track times with it. Will A-Tap it shortly to see what shift extension is but it looks like about 5200 - 5300 shifting at 6400- 6500. The most amazing part is the driveabilty of this converter. I don't like loose feeling converters and this one doesn't bother me in the least. It's looser than my 2800 Vig but that felt like stock to me.Seems like the SS takes only 300- 400 more rpm in everyday driving than the Vig. I'm sure my 3.73's and quiet SLP D/D exhaust make it seem tighter also. Can't wait for the cooler weather to bolt on the Et Streets and see what it does at the track. Looking for some 1.5x wheels up launches. The little Vig was lifting the left front a bit so hopefully the SS4000 will lift both of em.

Atap'd it this morning. Shifts at 6500 and drops back to 5300. The little Vig used to drop back to 4700-4800 with the same shift points. So the SS is keeping it in the peak HP range all the time. Like this converter more each time I drive it. 1st gear on the street is useless with the Nittos though. Blows them away at anything past half throttle.Looks like M/T Drag Radials are in my future!
