hold your brake and give it a little gas then when the last yellow light lights up let go of the brake and mat the gas.

i think you need to try different methods with your car at the track. i was able to torque mine up to ~2k at the line, but when it launched it jumped out and like flatlined for about a second before it picked up again. i've found that if i tq it up to ~900 rpm and flash it, it will illicit better 60' times. this is on a stock converter of course. i think it just depends on the car. my buddy has a car similar to mine, and i likes to be torqued up at launch...i think it depends on the car.

Agreed. Every car is going to be different depending on what you have done. Mine was hooking great when I would brake stall it up to 3000rpms and then let off the brake and easy into full throttle. Now I changed my gears to 3.73s and it starts fish tailing if I launch like I used to. I have to learn what works best all over again. You just have to try different things.

i raced some guy 2 days ago, heated up my nittos pretty well, got at the light.. stalled it up to 2200 and then when the light turned i gave it like 80/90 percent throttle for the first couple milliseconds just to ensure the best traction then i just mushed it on the floor. i have never been to the track but i swear to you i think i got like a 1.5 60 foot time it was awesome! 3800 stall w/ 3.73s here though

At the track I've experimented around. I stalled right up to the point of the back tires spinning, stalled up to 1000 rpms, launched off idle. To date my best was 2.01 60 ft. launching off idle w/ stock converter and BFG drags
Definitley want better

Be careful about this! Here is why: I have been launching at the light at 2500 RPMs and I just screwed up my transmission! Many people have said that I launched too high so it burned it up! I would recommend doing it at maybe between 1500-2000 and see where that gets ya! Because I have given it hard launches time after time, now I get to save up for a new tranny!

I have a Vig 3800 Stall in a stock tranny, 3.42 gear brake torque till about 2500 RPM and pulling consistent 1.7 60's...ll I am afraid to go much higher or put the slicks on cause I am on the stock 10 bolt.

My car has a vig 3200 with MTDR's and I launch at 2,800. This is a stock sup. car it cuts 1.6's. Street tire is idle to get a 2.1. If you have a stock rear beware of wheel hop, it is a rear breaker.

Before my stall, my car liked between 900-1200 RPMs, and matted on the green. Anything above I would get some spin, followed by a small bog. I' ve tried stalling to where the tires are breaking loose at the yellow and blew the tires off at the green. The best I pulled, on a OEM converter, was like a 2.0X on 335 Dunlops. Not good. My brother has a 2.73 car, and he pretty much matts it for the green and has pulled 1.9Xs a couple times on 315 GSD3s. He had pulled some good 2.0Xs on the OEM RSAs too. He has some suspension, and basic bolt-ons. Track prep', suspension prep', and a bunch of factors will determine what you get, and how to drive. You just have to experiment.
