Default TC and flywheel

If I buy a new Torque Converter, should I get a new Flywheel to go with it?

I was looking at the TCI flywheel.

Is that a good idea? Would I have to balance it?

Thanks

they are called flexplates and yes there is no better time to raplce it then now!! the TCI unit is much beefier as well. If you plan on making 400rwhp and launching hard the stock flexplate will crack and that wopuld be a nightmare so yes replace it now.

What about balancing it? Does it need it?

If you get the TCI flexplate (I have one and recommendit) make sure to clear the powdercoat from all the bolt matting surfaces. If you don't the bolts can get loose when the powder coat wears off.

This is per Carl Rossler.
