Default TCI converter problem...

Went to run the car at the dyno today with my nitrous kit installed so it could be tuned. Before the nitrous run we ran it on just motor since I had the new converter in. I lost 30hp and 30tq with the exact same tune as before. When you mash the pedal, it drops really bad (i know they all do but this drops to 140ftlbs) then pics up until 4500 or so when it hits a spot of about 500 rpm where it feels really "lazy". On the dyno chart it seems the converter is locking and unlocking randomly. Anyone else had a similar problem? This is a Street Fighter ~3000 stall.

Forgot to mention car is fairly stock with just a catback, y-pipe, and air lid...besides the nitrous.

There have been lots of reports of the lock-up clutch going bad on TCI converters, but TCI has been good about servicing those issues. Do a search on Kevin Winstead on this forum if you determine that you indeed have that problem.

From looking at the other threads this looks like it could be my problem. It didnt do this when first installed.
