Default Stall advice for 408 stroker?

I'll have my 408 stroker within the next week. It'll be running AFR 205 66c heads opened up for the 4.030 bore, 1 3/4" LT headers, and bare minimum LS6 intake (most likely a FAST 90/90 setup). The cam is 244/248 .609/.612 115lsa. This will be a 99% street driven car. Currently it has the factory 10-bolt w/ 3.23 gears. Down the road that'll be swapped for a 12-bolt or 9" with 3.73s, but definitely later next year.

Given the combo I'll be running, what stall & STR would be best for a STREET driven car on street tires, considering the torque curve of the 408.

ANY help would be very appreciated? (I'm considering Yank or Fuddle)

I'd be curious to know what Yank, PI, TCI, or Fuddle would have to say, but I would think something like the Yank SY3500 would be great with its 1.6 STR.

STR shouldn't be too much of a concern, because you'll be able to control wheel spin with your right foot. So, I'd think anything in the SSF3500 or Vig 3200 range would work well. Or the Yank SS3200 would be a nice fit as well with its lower STR ~2.1.

I had sent my TCI 3500 back to TCI and they recommended and restalled it for 4000rpm. Mine is great. My combo is pretty much the same as yours. I had 10bolt and 3.73 gears which didn't last long. I now have a Moser 12 bolt w/4.10's.

With the gear you have at this time I would go for the PY3600 and when the 3.73 are added, you will be better suited with the SS3600 you will see a stall on the PY3600 ( stall is rated for power adder) a true stall of 3400 and the SS will be at 3800 with your engine setup

Yeah, I'd go with the PY3600 with the power levels you are at.

I had the same setup and went with the 4000 stall. I loved it.

I'm in the middle of building mine up.
I already have a Moser 9" with 3.70 Gears
A "Stage 5" Finish Line Performance Transmission
and just received my Yank SS4000Extreme Converter.
Stock Bottom end for now, BUT will be building it up SOON.
I made the rest of the SS Stout enough to handle just about anything.
Car is set up for Street/Strip
