Default TC locking unlocking ramdomly.

I was cruising at about 40 and felt the converter lock, unlock, lock a number of times, until i hit the gas causing the unlock and acceleration. Ive always noticed it was hard to tell if it was even locking, until today when i actually felt it.First time i was able to tell but unfortunatly it would go back and fourth. The wife even looked at me and said WTF?
Ive heard misfires cause this, but i dont have any codes proving this conclusion. Would low fluid cause this? BTW it is a 3000 tci and i drive a 00 vette with every bolt-on imaginable.

Did you scan for codes or are you saying you just haven't had a SES light? The "random misfire" code (I forget the number) is famous for causing this. But the the TCI 3000 is small enough that it doesn't typically generate that code. More ominous is the possibility that the TC clutch is going away. If you scan and don't come up with anything, and the problem continues, this is likely the scenario.

i have the same problem with a 3,800 stall. Locks fine then 1-2 miles down the road it unlocks. Never did it with my 3k stall. Im looking into this issue and will give you a heads up if i find anything worth mentioning..
