Default 2800 Stall?

I've done quite some reading but can't really find what I'm looking for. I just installed the Lingenfelter GT2-3 cam and it sucks below about 2200 RPM, but when it hits 2200 it pulls very nicely! I have the stock converter in my stock tranny (2002 f-body) and would like a torque converter that, when I floor it, will let my car rev just past 2700 or so then immediately lock up. I also start spraying at 2750 (progressive ~25 shot) and go up to 175+. So, I guess my question is, what's a good STR? And what's a good stall RPM? 2800? This is also for daily driving and even during rush hour. I can't let that ricer take me off the line again!

Thanks in advance,
-somebody

I don't think you would be happy with a 2800 stall. Seeing that you spray quite a bit you should get a converter that offers a up-grade for spray if you spray it often. A 3200 with say a 2.0 STR should work out good for you.

A vig 2800 is about the only 2800 worth buying for an f-body; primarily because it stalls to ~3200 in our cars. Most 2800 and belows are not worth the investment.

As for STR, that depends on your tires. If you have ET Streets or similar tires, go for a 2.5. If you run drag radials you might go lower. With the low STR you can always up the spray out of the hole until you reach the edge of traction.

There are good 3000 or 3200 stalls out there such as a TCI 3000 or Yank SS3200 or the Vig 2800. Each of these units have been proven to perform well. I'd assume that Fuddle could also make you something in your performance range.

Don't waste your time with a 2800... You'll just change it out again because you won't be satisfied.
3200 is the lowest I would go with a stall.
