2nd gear limp mode

2nd gear limp mode Well this happened to me today. Had the shifter in 1st and the car wouldn't do a burnout. Was footbraking it. How can I avoid this from happening? Is it time for a line lock? Thanks.
Still ran a 13.6@101 in 2nd gear and letting off before the traps.
