Default Transmission Perform Button?

I really wasn't sure where to post this but... in my 94 TA, what exactly does Transmission Perform button do? Is it traction control? I really am not a car genius :p

Yea, that link will tell you more. I had it in my '95 TA and it did help a bit. I used to leave it on a lot until I put in my shift kit.
