So in about 2 months my car is getting a total 383 rebuild, LT headers, and a Vig 3200. I was just wondering if i still needed to install a shift kit along with the converter even though i am going to be getting LT1 edit where you can supposedly change the line pressure (i think).

Absolutely.
Use the TransGo kit.

IMO, all you really need is either a good tune or a wake up kit. A wake up kit consists of a 700-R4 servo, a (4L60E) 4th apply servo & piston, & a boost valve. All come in the kit. The servo stuff installs in the side of the transmission & the boost valve under the pan (remove a snap ring & it mounts directly into the pump from below; very simple & works great). My signature notes a tuned transmission which in actuality is a wake up kit. It shifts awesome. Good-luck
