th350 swap

th350 swap
I just bought a 1998 z28 with 65000 miles. The only modification as of now is a slowmasfer muffler. I plan on getting a lid and cut out soon, but want a tc really bad. So here is the question. Can I swap a th350 from my 1972 cutlass supreme into my camaro ? If so what will I need? The reason I want to do this is because I already built the th350 and added a 3000 stall. Another reason is that my cutlass is being stored right now because its being restored.

You will need:
1)Dual Pattern Flexplate (best option, use on both LS1 and 350 TC's)
2)TC made for the conversion, not an absolute must have, but the snout wont sit into the plate like it should and can cause flexplate cracking etc.
3) Modify Xmember or BMR Tubular X member
3a) Either new TA, or, the BMR Xmember with TA mount
4) Trans cooler lines, I cut the stock lines and spliced into the remaining forward section of the factory line to the cooler
5) Shifter & Cable, several pics in this section and Drag Racing one on different shifters and how they were fit
6) the TH350 needs to have the 9" tailshaft, preferably a housing from Rossler with the VSS adapter bungs welded in, and the reluctor wheel.
7) Stock A4 DS fits, however it is about an inch to 1.5 shorter than should be
Thats about it.
