Default Is everything right with my A4?

well first off check out the sig. (SY 3500 if it matters). When the tranny shifts from 3rd to 4th is fine but every now and then it will shift quick back to 3rd. As soon as i give it some gas it shifts fine into 4th. I may be getting confused with the lockup but not sure. Anyways just thought id ask if everything is ok or do i need to change fluid or what??? Thanks guys

When it downshifts back into third gear, what mph are you at? If the mph gets too low it'll downshift until the speed gets brought back up. I think it downshifts at around 38-40 mph for me.

after really mucking with the car today I think its the convertering locking and unlocking. I take it this is normal?? Is it good or bad for it to keep doing this? Whats the benefit of it locking up? Sorry for all these possibly silly questions.

It shouldn't unlock until you fall below a certain speed or touch the brakes.
