Default tranny code...

1-2 shift solonoid stuck open/off?

the car shifts perfectly fine? wtf? never had a second's worth of trouble out of the transmisssion, yet.

I've seen that code thrown in my car once after my rebuilt tranny went in. I was told not to worry about it. Since then it's never came back and the tranny is still shifting fine. I'd just keep an eye out on your temps and fluid level just to be safe.

How many times have you "romped" on it since the converter? That code sets when the RPM doesn't drop below a certain threshold after the 1-2 shift. A high stall converter keeps the RPM above that threshold, setting theh code. Most people with converters above 3500± have this code turned off in the PCM.

A LOT. it still shifts perfectly fine.
