4000+ stall....
im goin with a "special" cam that will require me to spin the motor to or around 6500 or so RPMs and it "requires" a 4K+ stall...well im running into the issue that, my car shifts at 6K rmps and the stall is 4K...intill i get that cam im gonna have 2K to work with ...i also have 3.73's BTW
What im gettin to...will this stall hurt my et and make me run outta MPH at like 100 MPH?

I ran a 4K stall and 3.73's for a while, it was a great setup and it dropped a couple of tenths off my E.T over my 3500 stall. Even with a 6k shift point it shouldn't be a problem, I ran a 11.6 @ 114 with that setup and stock heads/cam.

With my 4000 stall and 3.73 gears I shift at 6400 and the RPM drops down to 5300-5400 on each shift. With your car shifting at 6000 your RPM should still drop down to around 5300-5400. Shifting 500 rpm early on each shift will probably cut your ¼ by 2mph or so and your ET will be around .2- .3 slower.

i lost .55 off of my 1/8 mile ET with the stock tune, only the addition of the stall. i lost 3 mph off my trap speed from tqm, though. it's a **** in the city, but on the highway the converter locks up like stock and you'd never know it was there unless you tromp down on it. if you can stand a 4k stall, go 4400 and get that extra .05 in the 60'. i can't see how they'd be too different...as my 4k stall is LOOSE loose loose. i will restall to 4400 soon enough (after the tranny grenades) to get the optimum out of my cam choice.
also, odds are you will GAIN mph in the 1320 from your stall. 140+ mph i don't know about, as i haven't gone that fast since the stall. but that's for bikes and rice, eh?
all in all i LOVE the stall and, in fact, want MORE of it!!

but as i said, if you're willing to deal with the laziness and sluggish crap that you get putting around town, go for a 4400 stall. if you do what i did and get a 4k and like it, you'll wish you had gone bigger!
