Question Replaced shift solenoids still having problems

I replaced both shift solenoids last night. Today the car was driving fine then the SES light came on again and goodbye 1st and 4th again. The code says b solenoid stuck open. Could this be a wiring problem, maybe the harness came unplugged or it doesn't have a good connection. The first time it threw the code was when I was driving on a really bumpy country road. Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have a stall in it? If so, ask your tuner about it. I know I started getting that code after my TC install. I basically drive around town, stop and go traffic, in D. I had the lock up turned off in D. No problems, but if I drive around in OD then I will get the code without fail. If you pull over and shut the car off for a minute the computer will reset and it will drive normal again.

Yes I have a stall, I had it tuned New Years Day and havent had any problems until a week ago when the SES light came on and it was b solenoid stuck open. It happened today and I shut the car off for about 10 minutes while I went in somewhere and came back out started it up and it worked fine. Its also very sluggish going into lockup.

Try driving around town in D, like I stated earlier and see if the problem happens again. I think our computers have a tough time dealing with the extra slippage caused by a aftermarket TC. Pretty much anyone I know with on has this problem. I use D around town and shift to OD for highway or interstate driving. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

you could of had the torque management shut off.. Do you have any idea what they tuned. there is alot you can do and tweak and alot of people say their trans is tuned only to find the shift points were the only things changed..

Do you think having the the Torque Management shut off would cause this type of problem?

yea its a real pain in the *** to deal with espically when people on this board dont help out and suggest other crazy crap to do. Well just to give you a heads up you may also have lock up problems such as it locks for a mile then unlocks. You might also have trouble when its locked up making a funny noise caus its slipping when you give it a little throttle when its locked...

I personally have never had lock up problems in OD. I check it every now and then by tapping the brakes while the tranny is locked up to see if the RPM's flash. I was told my code was erased as well but I guess it wasn't. Time to make another trip to the tuner..

Torque management is a computer controll. Basically when you put a shift kit in(sometimes a converter) if it makes a hard fast shift the computer will see it as an abusive situation and back off fuel and timing(to the point where the car just falls on its face right after the shift) so you need that table in the trans settings either shut off or have the torque limit raised.

The reason I asked is because I know mine was turned off by the tuner, hell that alone improved my 1/4 times with the stock stall.

3,200 stall seems to be the max before you get into computer problems. When i had my midwest 3,000 i had no problems what so ever untill i installed the shift kit which i knew was going to cause torque management issues, which i simply programmed out.
