What does it take to...
-The Car: 95 A4 Z28
-The Project: 4l60e to th400 swap
.............
Im in the middle of a turbo lt1 build and am looking to run circa 8psi for now on a stock motor. This is a track car and i can afford to blow the engine sky high so, it will stay stock for now.(if the engine blows, i just build it bigger and better) Ive read a bit about people putting boost to their stock transmissions and the outcome has always been the same... A blown, no good tranny. I can not justify blowing a perfectly good stocker trans. So my solution is to replace the stock trans with a th400 being donated by a buddy of mine. For you more experienced guys.. what all does this involve and what stall should i be running?

you'll find alot of info in the th400 sticky. you can get conversion parts through spohn, bmr, and thunder racing. I used a converter, flexplate, and crossmember from thunder racing. Jegs converter cover (needed modification). There is some other stuff to but like i said look in the sticky it is quite helpful.
