i know i dont have that many posts but i really need some of your expertise. i have a 1999 trans am, about 10months ago my transmission was rebuilt. Well recently it started slipping again, now 3rd and 4th gear dont work i'm thinking about buying a rebuild kit and having someone do the install for me. Now heres where i need some help. What rebuild kit should i get that will be a slightly bit beefer but close to stock and how much will a good mechanic charge for the install? i really dont want to get ripped off again, also are there any other parts i will need other that the rebuild kit for my vehicle? i was told that i have to get a new stall converter is this true also when i took it to the mechanic they found metal in the oil pan. Again any information is greatly appreciated. Ramiro

go for a raybestos z-pak (14 clutch 3rd gear vs stock 6 clutch) and all other cluthes in alto red eagle brand,beast reaction shell,briscoe rear planet,wide band etc. contact me for any questions,hope this helps
