Your 4L80E can hold that reliably?

And you have to think about tires too...even at 50 you will blow them off...

But to answer this question accurately, you need to look at the powerband of the engine and the weight of the car to build the right converter for the application.

High flash RPM for max. shift extension and low STR to maintain top end efficiency.

Something like Yanks SY3500 would be ideal, or a custom Fuddle 3600/1.7. Just contact either company and ask them.

i can see how you'll get 1000rwhp, im shooting now for the same numbers...

But how can we get to 180mph with these 4spd auto...stall'd? Before, i used to hold the WOT through the o/d shift and those 3/4 clutchs kits kept going..fast!! I hate having to rebuild these trans!!

BUT, i would love to hang at least to 160mph on the 1-75, know the spot(s)? Have a buddy, Da Dragon, that just flyings, same granatelli speedo as you, and i would love to hang, or stay in front (buhahaha!!) with that guy to those speeds....

Will these 4l60, i have a 65e hold to those speeds and keep reliability, or would we need a 4l80 conversion?

Anyone run that fast thorugh these 4l'z?

That converter, sc3000, looks about right....

I just ordered a Vig w/ 5 disc lock up. They said it is good to 1200 hp or something like that. I would get a 2800/3200 Vig w/ 5 disc lock up. With 3.23's, 26" tire, 7000 rpm redline, locked you are good for 168mph The the larger tire you go with the more you will get.... 27" tire = 174 mph, 28" tire = 181 mph

wont a larger or smaller diameter tire mess up with the computer calculations? ABS for example...

Yes, you have to change the tire diamater in the program if you are going to run the tires all the time. The tires being different diameters might trip off the ABS... not sure with the change in the computer.
