I had a midwest 3,000 stall 2.0str and loved it, drove great... Decided i wanted a larger stall so i went with a fuddle 3,800. Probably would have gotten another midwest but they are no longer around. You may want to check on that price though 250 would be a fair price for it, not 500 or close to 500. You can get a new fuddle for that and you can have it custom built to what you want.. Check your options.... In any event i loved my midwest when i had it, no issues..

just a side note i sold my midwest for 300 shipped

your missing nothing, i read your post wrong. When you said that i can get one for 500 i was thinking used even when you said new.. On another note i didnt mean that midwest went out of business(they make converters for other transmissions), was just simply saying how they pretty much got out of the ls1 crowd, i dont see them a sponsor on any of the boards i go to and hell i dont even know where you could buy one anymore from any of the other sponsors. Just seemed like they gave up on the ls1 crowd as i dont hear of anyone buying them anymore. Most are now going with fuddle and of course yank and tci..

it depends...does your car see more street time or track time...

if you only go to the track once in a while get a 2.1 if your car is mainly a strip car get a 2.5

so for you i suggest a 2.1

We have been running Midwest converters for years and have had nothing but good things to say. I'm actually a distributor for them. They can build a converter to fit any combo. From a stock car to a turbo ls1/TH400 making 1500+ FWHP. Or even a turbo LS2/4L80E w/lockup making 1200 FWHP.

By the way Midwest converters sell a lot of there converters to other big name companies who paint them and resell. They also do a lot of exporting. Lots of good companies out there. Some just try harder to stay in the spotlight.

If you wanna go fast you just need to copy the parts that someone else has done it with or buy there old stuff. Wait, didn't you...

That guy making 1200FWHP is looking to make another 100 or so the next time out.
