Default Problem with my 4l60e.....burning fluid, and a vibrating

Hey guys need some help

I'm burning trans fluid, that's a problem right there. I have to try replacing the fluid, the filter, and the gasket see if that helps. Other than that no leaks no nothing. I've checked the rear main seal so that's not an option.

I also have this vibrating problem

Now it does it on harder accelerations. I've also noticed it do it when in D....foot on the brake....and getting ready to raise the RPM's to do a burnout. It's really bad when this is done. I'm really lost on this problem

The vibrating I have checked the weights on the DS they are all there. I've checked everything I can think of.

Thaanks for your help everyone.

Chris

What do you mean by burning transmission fluid? Does it have a brown color and smell burnt? Is it full?
The vibration sounds like converter chatter.

Burnt fluid (as Dustin said, brown color, smells burnt) is caused by internal slipping, and this is probably the vibration you feel (slip...grab...slip...grab...).

The internal slipping wears out friction linings on clutches and band, and generates heat which fries the rubber seals and further deteriorates the friction linings, which allows more slipage...

yea i was thinking about putting a deeper trans pan in my car to help pervent heat, i already have a b&m trans cooler so i know that is helpin alittle bit. my fluid is just dark not really burnt, more like really dirty. mine never smells burnt, and it doesnt slip grab slip grab like you are saying.

Does not smell burnt nor does it look burnt. I jsut got it changed and we will see how it goes from there. Also I think the vibrating may be a bad yoke or u-joint. Going to try to replace those if anyone think that's what it could be

Added:

The vibrating occurs in 1st around 1200 RPMs and 2nd around 1900-2000 RPMS when powerbraking.

The problem with the vibrating has been pinpointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Broken motor mount. My damn engine lifts like a ****!

Anyways, the tranny fluid still looks good too, so we'll see maybe I'm in the clear

Okay, I think this is enough. We can lay this one to rest now after eleven years.
