Question 4L60E and Royal Purple ATF

Has anyone heard any bad things happening or contraindications to using synthetic tranny fluid or royal purple in the 4L60E or any electronic GM transmission?

I just bought 12 quarts of Royal Purple for my trans filter change and TC install...and someone on another site said that the synthetic will make my bands slip of some sh*t.

Any thoughts or experience will be very appreciated.

Chuck @ FLT (who built my new trans) said I should use Dexron III. He didn't really say anything bad about synthetics other than they don't really like them.

I have royal purple in my transmission, I am gonna flush it out. After i put it in I did a couple of WOT shifts while the car was still a little cold and and it slipped on the 1-2 shift. It only did this two times, so not 100% sure if it is the fluid or what. Just my .02

Its good stuff. It might void the GM warranty though.

Most builders do not like synthetic trans fluids because they are usually too "slippery" and can cause the clutches in the transmission to slip and burn up.

My trans builder doesn't like synthetic fluid either, but he did tell me to use Castro type F, so that's what I've been using

dextron III or higher as i posted on RP. (stage20)
syn oil in a 4l60 is asking for trouble if you beat on it.
its not good for it shifting regularly.
