Default 4L80e in place of 4L60e,Better or Not??

I blew my tranny a few weeks ago behind my 408 ,Im still debating either to go TH350 full manual with updated drum,TH400 with upgraded internals,or my T56 that I have lying in my room with a LS7 clutch. But kinda dont want to lose my overdrive,I was also looking of going 4L80E full manual or keep the automatic functions with the speartech harness and reprogramming.I will be sparaying a 200 shot on this motor every now and then, its my daily commute to work.I just want to do this right the first time,I dont want to go thru 4 or 5 transmissions rebuilds before I learn $ wise. What's you all's best advise and any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

A 4l80e would be a good choice. The 4l60e will work but will have to be freshened up from tme to time. The th350 or th400 will take the power but your going to loose you OD. What kind of rwhp are you running?

Powerwise its in my sig, however should be close to 500rwhp after a couple of other mods I have planned and on top of that a 200 shot of the juice,if worst comes to worst ill do the TH350 long tail, same driveshaft with a 3800 stall

With that much nos you would really be testing the 4l60e's limitations. Without the nos you would probably be fine. Well looks like it's time for a conversion. Good luck...

If you already have the t-56 and clutch I'd say go with that. Save some money, but if you really wanna stick with the auto I'd say go with a built 4l80e.
