Default torque convertor/tranny vibration?

Is it possible for torque converter to become unbalanced? I am getting a real heavy vibration in 3rd gear at highway speeds. Everything seems fine from a standing start WOT in 1st and 2nd Overdrive seems ok but when I part throttle into 3rd is seems rough.
At first I thought I have something wrong with the engine but I have not gotten any error codes or anything.

The car has been sluggish for about 6 months now too.
Maybe its time for a Torque Converter Upgrade ( yank or fuddle )

Any comments

Best way to check if you have a tranny/verter problem that is causing vibration is to put the car in neutral and rev' er up to the rpm where you feel the vibration while driving. If you have no vibration - then the problem lies somewhere else in the drivetrain...

I had a tci flexplate installed after mine sheared itself from the T/C. When I got my car back I noticed the exact symptoms you are having........if you find a cure please do tell.......
