What stall to get with these mods?
I have a 1998 A4 Z28 with 80xxx miles. I am going to have LT headers, catback, lid, LS6 intake and a MS3 cam. I know nothing about converters. Which would be an affordable stall converter and what should the stall be set at? Thanks.

Yes I am looking for big performance. Another question, with this size cam, is a stall converter absolutely necessary right away? I am not going to be drag racing, mostly street/highway racing from a moving start. I was told I NEED a stall in order to have decent drivability? Is this true, and if so, why? I guess I don't really understand stall converters to much...someone want to help me out and dumb it down for me? Thanks!

If it's street driven i'd go with the Yank SS3800.
If its a track car i'd go with the PT or PY...but they could tell you what the best match for your car and application is if you call them.

You say this now, but after you get a stall you won't want to race any other way but from a dead stop with sticky tires. Converter cars just aren't the best to race from a punch, If all you want to do is race from a roll get a m6....get a 3600-4000 stall and let the tire fry begin.
