Default oh crap, is this my problem????????????

i posted a thread about my converter rattling below 1200 rpm, well anyway, i was pulling of the tranny to check everything out and send the stall back to yank for evaluation. as i was unbolting the converter, i went to the crank(dampner side) to spin the flywheel so i could access the top converter bolts, shockingly i discovered the crank pulley bolt was missing. WTF, could this be the reason why i was hearing a that sound? in other words, was the crank walking a bit because of the missing bolt? i am still pulling everything off to be sure, but i am suspect that could be the culprit of my problems. any thoughts would be welcomed.

All the bolt does is hold the pulley on.It has nothing to do with the actual crank.Without the bolt, the worse that could happen is your pulley working its way off, throwing belts and then whatever damage the pulley would cause by flying off.

It would be nice if that was the problem. But it has to be something else,Sorry!
